Role of Food habits in our Life
Health is Wealth, and to own this health food plays Major role!!
Food we eat plays a very significant role in our lives along with exercise and mental health.
People these days are so much aware of their health and they are actively taking their time
out from their busy schedule. They are hitting the Gym, following various kind of food habits
like intermittent fasting etc.
What if they are not selecting their food wisely! Will they be benefitting?
So, the answer is NO, they have to choose their food habits wisely. This can be done using
various methods. As we all are aware of that our older generation eats lots of healthy food,
and on time i.e., before sunset. But we are so much busy in our work that we don’t care if
we are eating just before going to bed. Or in lack of time, we often eat lots of junk and
frozen food.
Eating outside food has become a status symbol. If you don’t eat outside food especially on
weekends you are considered a miser person. Kids also love to eat junk food very much,
which has increased the risk of early diabetes, high cholesterol in kids at early age. Pizzas,
pastas, French fries are must have for any kid’s birthday party.
What is the solution we have!
One must introduce in a family healthy food habit starting with minimizing the junk and
frozen food and eating in form of mini meals. Breakfast should not be skipped and dinner
should be done 2 hours before going to bed.
For healthy food habits one can: –
• Increase intake of Fruits and vegetables
• Eat more Fiber rich food
• Drink more fluids
• Reduce the salt intake
• Reduce or stop junk and frozen foods
• Increase whole grains
• Limit sweets, desserts and sugary sodas
• Substitute animal protein with plant protein
• Decrease saturated fats and trans fats
• Practice portion control by many mini meals
• Do not ever skip breakfast
• Exercise to achieve and maintain a healthy body
We should introduce all the above points in our life and see the difference in Physical
and Mental state. As it is said that,
” Jaisa khao Annn, waisa hoga Mann”.
Means the type of food we eat always reflect in our mind (our thought process).
So, choose wisely the food you eat because it will impact on our overall physical and
mental state in long run.
